TRAVEL WRITING

ARTICLES

Cynthia worked as a columnist and spokesperson for Honeymoon magazine.

She appeared frequently in the media as an engagement, wedding,

honeymoon, and romance expert. She has all published essays on Your Teen Magazine, Zibby Owens' Mom's Don't Have Time to Read Medium platform, and many others.

Cindy met her husband, Adam Muchnick, in college at Stanford University. After completing college, Cindy moved to Chicago where she began a career in college admissions at the University of Chicago. One spring break, Cindy and Adam were on vacation in Paris when Adam popped the fateful question by spelling out the words WILL YOU MARRY ME during a game of Scrabble and sparked Cindy’s interest in collecting marriage proposal stories and writing Will You Marry Me? The World's Most Romantic Proposals. Cindy and her husband relocated to Florida where she completed her masters degree in Liberal Studies, taught tenth grade history, and wrote her first book.

After the overwhelming success of Will You Marry Me? (Macmillan, 1996), Cindy followed up with 101 Ways to Pop the Question (Macmillan, 1997). She appeared as expert on the talk and radio show circuit and was proud to be dubbed an Engagement Expert and Coach. Cindy worked for three years as a columnist and spokesperson for Honeymoon magazine (Time-Warner Distributors).

She appeared frequently as a wedding and romantic travel expert on the national talk show and speaking circuit.  Her other wedding books are The Ultimate Wedding Idea Book (2001, Penguin/Random House) and The Frugal Bride (2002, Penguin/Random House),

Cindy freelanced for Coast magazine and offered her expertise writing travel, romance, and wedding articles for publications including Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and POV.

Still incurable romantics, Cindy and her husband live happily ever after with their three sons and daughter in Menlo Park, CA, just a few miles from where they first met!
